Regional Australia Institute (RAI) is proud to present Regions Rising Victoria. This event will be held on 22 August 2025 at Federation University, Gippsland Campus.

Since 2019, the RAI’s  Regions Rising series has been the leading platform for highlighting  the challenges and opportunities shaping regional Australia. Through full-day conferences held across the country, Regions Rising events connect communities, government, industry leaders, policymakers and thought leaders to drive meaningful action and foster collaboration.

Regions Rising Victoria will deliver a dynamic day of insights, discussions and networking, as well as the launch of the RAI’s newest research report, Answering the Call for Regional Housing. This report shines a light on the urgent and complex housing challenges facing regional communities, setting out a bold vision for reform and highlight innovative place-based solutions to ensure every community has access to safe, secure and affordable housing. 

With two panel sessions, alongside a compelling keynote addresses from RAI CEO Liz Ritchie and Victorian Housing Minister Harriet Shing, Regions Rising Victoria is your opportunity to help shape a stronger, more sustainable future for regional Victoria and beyond.

  • All cancellations must be made in writing (email) to the RAI.
