Sustainability and Resilience City of Ballarat We pledge to become a leader in renewable energy and a carbon neutral city by 2030 on our way to becoming a Circular Ballarat in 2050 We will achieve this though a framework of initiatives to establish our future as a carbon neutral city and a leader in renewable energy systems - with thriving collaboration across industries, community and businesses to secure a circular economy and our future sustainability.
Initiatives include: advocating to government and industry for investment in a Circular Ballarat; supporting local businesses to become more circular; exploring a community-owned energy assets to support community wealth building.

Liveability Albury City We pledge to implement a 10-year multi-modal integrated transport strategy in Albury-Wodonga region from 2023. The implementation of this strategy will deliver a connected, efficient, accessible, safe and sustainable transport network for Albury Wodonga.

Sustainability and Resilience Albury City We pledge to achieve Net Zero emissions from AlburyCity operations by 2040 We will do this by continuing to implement energy savings initiatives, sustainable design and supporting innovation in the circular economy to maximise resource (waste) recovery and reuse.
Our pledge will help drive Sustainability and Resilience by reducing the impact of our operations on the environment and contributing toward a reduction in natural disasters arising from climate change. |
Liveability Nutrien Ag Solutions We pledge to partner with CareFlight to increase lifesaving trauma skills in regional Australia to help bridge the gap between those who arrive first on the scene of an accident and when professional medical help arrives. Nutrien Ag Solutions is partnering with CareFlight to deliver Trauma Care training workshops to 180 locations over three years. The program will provide vital trauma care training to more than 2500+ to ensure that in the event of an accident they have the vital skills and confidence to manage traumatic injuries until professional medical help arrives. The program will build life-saving skills in regional communities where access to swift medical help is not as commonplace as metro Australia and will help fill an identified skills gap.

![]() Sustainability and Resilience Commonwealth Bank We pledge to support farmers to invest in environmental improvements on their farms, through CommBank’s new Agri Green Loan Launched in August 2022, the Agri Green Loan will support Agri business customers invest in eligible environmental initiatives on their properties, by providing access to discounted funding for approved, eligible purposes that either reduce emissions on farm, sequester more carbon dioxide into farming landscapes or enhance natural capital and biodiversity.
Farmers will benefit from potential farm productivity enhancements that can flow from these environmental initiatives. CBA is committed to playing a leadership role in Australia's transition to a net zero emissions economy by 2050. Likewise, CBA is a recent signatory to the Taskforce on Nature Related Financial disclosures, which recognises the importance of biodiversity and ecosystems.

In the next two years, we will grant $700,000 to 200 scholarship recipients through the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, Bendigo Bank, Rural Bank and Community Bank Scholarship programs.

Our scholarship program continues to be one of Australia’s largest privately funded programs that nurtures significant intellectual capital across the community.
In total we have invested more than $11 million in scholarships to support 1,398 students since the program began in 2007. Many of our recipients have pledged to use their education to give back and contribute to their local communities. Scholarships can be used to fund the costs associated with study including relocation, course fees, course materials and accommodation.
